Who We Are
Healing The Living (HTL) began by serving young women recovering from trauma and trafficking. That heart hasn't changed but our reach has.
We've grown into a full-service transition organization because we kept seeing the same truth: people don't just need compassion, they need a roof, a skill, and a plan. HTL now serves individuals across the community regardless of gender, background, or how they got here, who are ready to rebuild.
Our Mission
To provide supportive housing, housing stabilization services, workforce development, and economic empowerment to individuals transitioning from homelessness, incarceration, or unstable living situations giving them the structure, skills, and support to achieve lasting independence.
What We Offer
🏠 Supportive Housing Safe, structured shared housing with real stability not just a bed. Residents receive written agreements, house management support, and a clear 12–18 month pathway toward independent living.
💼 Workforce & Economic Empowerment From financial literacy to job readiness to entrepreneurship including barbershop training, mobile detailing, and vending enterprise tracks we equip participants with skills that generate real income.
👗 My Daughters' Closet Our founding program continues to serve women and girls with quality clothing and essentials from everyday basics to your first business suit because showing up whole starts with feeling whole.
📈 Housing Stabilization Services Participants are tracked at 6 and 12 months with coaching, accountability, and resources to make stability stick that enables them with the ability to secure housing.
